i want to rent (iwant2rent.ca / jeveuxlouer.ca) is operated by a family-owned rental business in Ottawa, Ontario. This page explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect. When you browse the site, we do not use tracking cookies or analytics. When you submit a rental application, we collect the information you enter into the form — including personal, employment, residence, banking, and reference information as outlined in Ontario OREA Form 410. Providing your Social Insurance Number is optional.

How we use it. Application information is emailed directly to the landlord at info@iwant2rent.ca and used only to evaluate your rental application. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties beyond what is reasonably required to verify the application (for example, contacting your landlord, employer, or references that you listed).

How it is stored. Application emails are stored in the landlord's email inbox. We do not maintain a separate database of applicant information on this website.

Your choices. You can withdraw your application at any time by emailing info@iwant2rent.ca; we will delete the application email on request. If your application is not accepted, any deposit you may have submitted will be returned.
